If your firm permits, Thornburg will provide one round-trip, coach ticket from your home state to Albuquerque or Santa Fe, NM. If you choose to fly into Santa Fe, Rio Grande Travel will request prior approval from Thornburg based on cost, before securing your reservation.

Ground transportation during the event between the conference hotel, Thornburg HQ, and dinner location will be provided by Thornburg shuttles. See the following options for ground transportation between the airport and the conference hotel in Santa Fe (La Posada Hotel & Resort).

TRAVELERS FLYING INTO ALBUQUERQUE:
There is no regularly scheduled commercial shuttle service from ABQ airport to Santa Fe. Thornburg will cover the cost of a rental car up to $200 and Rio Grande Travel offers courtesy scheduling of your rental car if so desired. Rental car expenses will be covered by Thornburg through reimbursement. Please retain your receipts and submit them following the conference.

A typical mid-size rental from the ABQ airport averages $100 per day before taxes and gas. Rio Grande will extend the corporate rental car discount with National/Enterprise while comparing an agency you prefer for the best price and allow you the choice of a car rental agency. If you are renting a vehicle, the driver is required to be over the age of 21 and must have a valid driver’s license.

If your strong preference is to not drive, please consider a flight to Santa Fe (SAF). If a flight into SAF is not feasible, Thornburg will reimburse for a car service between the Albuquerque Sunport and the conference hotel in Santa Fe (La Posada Hotel & Resort) on your arrival and departure dates. Reimbursable car services include Lyft, UberX, and New Mexico Black Car taxi service. Rio Grande Travel offers courtesy scheduling of a car service through New Mexico Black Car. Make sure to retain your receipts to submit after the conference.

If you are flying into Albuquerque (ABQ), choose one of the following options for ground transportation:

I would like Rio Grande Travel to book New Mexico Black Car reservations on my behalf on arrival and departure days between the Albuquerque (ABQ) Airport and the conference hotel.

TRAVELERS FLYING INTO SANTA FE:
Please note: Thornburg will not reimburse rental car service contracted in Santa Fe. If flying into Santa Fe, you may use Lyft, UberX, New Mexico Black Car taxi service, or other car service to travel to the conference hotel and submit your receipts to Thornburg for reimbursement following the conference. Rio Grande is happy to assist with making your New Mexico Black Car reservation if you choose this option.

Hotel Reservation

Thornburg will pay for two night’s stay during the conference at the La Posada De Santa Fe. Additional nights will be at your own expense but will be reserved in Thornburg’s room block. Upon check in at the hotel you will be required to provide your personal credit card for incidentals and any additional nights you add to your stay.
